The non-profit organization Future Founders announced this week their selection of 17 youth entrepreneurs chosen to join their 2018 Fellowship. Nafis Azad, CEO of Ghost Lab, was selected as a Fellow.

Nafis Azad hopes to help empower his peers in the Fellowship through his experience and resources in digital product strategy, UX design, branding, and venture/product development. “I’m humbled and excited to be a part of such a prestigious network recognizing youth entrepreneurs across the nation,” said Nafis Azad. “I look forward to working with fellow entrepreneurs creating innovative, impactful ventures as a result of this network. It’s an honor to be recognized and I can’t wait to mentor and advise future Fellows as well.”

The Fellowship is a prestigious year-long cohort that accelerates the development of the top youth entrepreneurs in the nation. The goal of the program is to develop both the founders and their businesses, giving them the greatest foundation for future success. Fellows benefit from mentoring, entrepreneurship retreats, a peer community, and volunteer opportunities through Future Founders programs.

“The 2018 Fellows represent some of the most intentional millennial entrepreneurs in the country,” said Scott Issen, President & CEO, Future Founders. “We are optimistic that this year’s cohort will achieve milestones similar to our first two cohorts that generated over $3.4 million in revenue, secured $1.3 million in capital and created 44 full-time and 93 part-time jobs.”

The Fellowship is generously supported by Motorola Solutions Foundation (organizational founding sponsor), Capital One, The Coleman Foundation, The John E. & Jeanne T. Hughes Foundation, Keywell Foundation, Accenture, EY, and Jack and Goldie Wolfe Miller Fund.

The 17 entrepreneurs who were selected for the 2018 Fellowship cohort represent 16 schools in 13 states and one district. The Fellows’ businesses represent industries including consumer products, fashion, services, and tech.
